Guidelines to Creating and Using Affirmations
As mentioned in the previous post, Jack Canfield shares the power of using Affirmations in his book and now, I will be sharing what he shared in creating and using affirmations to improve your life.
If you have gotten the “BrainBullet“, you can put all these to better use!
Guidelines for Creating Your Affirmations…
- Start Your Affirmations with “I am…” this will serve as a command to the Subconscious mind.
- Describe your Affirmations as if you already have what you want.
- Phrase your Affirmations in a positive tone - do not use the word “Not” or anything negative. The mind thinks in a picture mode.
- Keep it Brief and Specific. Short, Sweet and be sure of the exact stuff that you want.
- Use action word ending with -ing. This make your mind create images that you are doing it right now.
- Include emotion or feeling words. Words that you will feel when you have achieved what you want.
- Create Affirmations for describing your own behavior not others.
- Leave space for something else better. In your affirmations, do include words like “or something else better.” This will let your mind source out something even better.
A Very Simple Way
- Simply… Visualize (what you like to have) -> Hear (what you will hear after you achieved) -> Feel (what you will feel after you achieved) -> Describe (what you will be experiencing)
How To Use Affirmations
- Review your affirmations one to three times a day.
- If possible, read out your affirmations.
- Visualize often like as if you already achieved.
- Hear or associate any sounds that may link to your success.
- Feel the feelings of what you will feel when you achieve your success.
- Simply repeat the process.
Physical Methods
- Use small cards - either to keep in your breast pocket, wallet, anywhere thats accessible for you to refresh your mind with the affirmations
- Use pictures to stimulate your mind of what you want. Have these pictures around you if possible
- Lastly.. use your whatever free time to repeat your affirmations.
