The Power of Applied Kinesiology and Two Experiments to Try
I had a chance to understand some stuff on Applied Kinesiology, an *ancient term* to me from the book “Be Your Own Guru by Olivia Stefanino”
Disclaimer: I have to use the word “Applied Kinesiology” because according to Wikipeida, the word “Kinesiology” and “Applied Kinesiology” is not of the same meaning. Therefore, I do not want to share the wrong stuff to you. (There is certainly some disputes to this like the Law of Attraction, but who cares when you care, right?)
According to what I have learned, through the understanding of Applied Kinesiology, we’re able to see the connection between our mind, body and spirit.
In simple terms as being put, if there is a substance or thought (do note here) - is good for you, your muscles are strengthened but if it’s vice versa, your muscles are weakened.
A simple two experiments (using physical and thoughts) as shared in the book which you can try for yourself.
The first experiment (physical substance), you will need:
- A Partner
- A Glass of Water
- A Bowl of Sugar
To carry out the experiment properly, you will need to calibrate your natural strength. Do this by stretching your right arm straight out to the side and ask your partner to push down your arm with two fingers. At the same, you give some form of resistance by pushing up. Remember, this is not a game of who has the most strength but rather knowing how much resistance you have in your normal state.
Now relax your right arm and pick up the bowl of sugar and hold it with your left hand in front of your solar plexus (just below your rib cage). And repeat the steps as above with your partner’s two fingers pushing and you resisting.
So what did you observe from this current experiment?
Now repeat the same whole process, but this time round replace the bowl of sugar with the glass of water.
Any new observations that you have now as compared to the previous experiment?
I have tried it out and I can share my personal experience which is per the same as the observations given in the book. With the bowl of sugar, you will “naturally” feel weaken in the arm whereas the glass of water, you will “feel” stronger than ever before. Reasons being - Sugar is bad for the body, Water is good! (This is quite the controversial part if you are the kind of person who is logical and believe in Scientific Findings)
If you are ready to try out the second experiment using purely your thoughts, read on…
For the second experiment, you will just need your mind and lots of self-talking. Get to a state of depression - can be linked to shoulders sagging, knees buckled and your chin curled towards neck. Once you are ready, repeat and say out loud to yourself five times - “I’m worthless, I’m useless, I’m weak!”
If you carry out this experiment properly, you will feel that, even without actual happenings, you really depressed. No mood. No meaning in life. Those friends around you may even pick up these signals from you and feel the same too.
This is like what most people feel when they wake up every morning to go for work. They wake up with the depressed feelings and carry out their work. When things don’t go smoothly, even when they ought to know that it’s very much what they are sowing from what they are feeling - they are blaming the whole world for going against them. Sounds familiar to you?
If you do not like to have this kind of negative feelings all the time, adapt to this feeling instead by:
Imagine an enormous stadium and that it’s full of people who’ve heard about you. These
people are there to learn from you about being positive and what you have to say to them. These people Want and Need to learn from you! So how would you stand and present yourself? Repeat to yourself as well, “I’m Strong, I’m Powerful, I’m Magnificent!”
Feeling different already?
Live life positively and Abundance will come to you! Hope you enjoy this!
